About our Keynote Speaker: Amb. Rev. Charles Stith is Chair of the African Presidential Leadership Center in Johannesburg & a member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations. He served as Ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, appointed in the aftermath of the U.S. embassy bombing. A Harvard Divinity School graduate, Ambassador Stith was Pastor of Boston’s United Methodist Church & founding director of Boston University’s African Presidential Center. He negotiated the nation’s first comprehensive community reinvestment agreement securing $500M for low -to moderate-income minority & women borrowers in Massachusetts.
